Omanùt, which in Hebrew means Art, is the word which has been chosen as the logo >
Omanùt, which in Hebrew means Art, is the word which has been chosen as the logo of the widest ever set up exhibition in Italy on Israeli Art.
The exhibition illustrates the evolving of the artistic path and the Israeli creativity over a whole century through languages and instruments common to the expressive international panorama:
painting, sculpture, video, photography, high-tech installations.
Along with the exhibition there’s a rich calendar of meetings, conferences, a photographic show and collateral events, which aim at deepening the understanding of Israeli culture and dispel that collective imagination which views Israel only as a Country of war and continually at war.

59th anniversary of the State of Israel
MILAN 29th April 2007
The whole day, with celebrations on the birth anniversary of the State of Israel, care of the Association Friends of Israel will take place at the Guastalla gardens in Milano (Guastalla street) in front of the synagogue from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. roughly.
There will be stands with Jewish and Israeli items, and there will be presented recreational activities for children and young adults. During the day there will be live Jewish music. Italian Evangelicals for Israel (EDIPI) will also be there with its stand.
This year will see the patronage of the Jewish Community of Milan (with the community’s defence body) and the patronage of the federation of the friendship associations Italy-Israel.
