Israeli Ambassador Ehud Gol invited EDIPI's President Ivan Basana
and his wife Andi to Rome for this
special event to commemorate the 56th Anniversary of the State
of Israel's Independence.
This festival is a day in which people gather for a time of tears and laughter; a day in which one celebrates their nenewed
commitment to the Land of Israel (Eretz Isreal) that the Lord gave to his chosen people.
"...and to his sons I will give the land on which he has set his foot, because he has followed the Lord fully." (Deut. 1:36)

The Italian director of the Keren HaYesod Association
invitated a representative of EDIPI to attend their annual celebration
in Milan where Israeli Ambassador Ehud Gol was also in attendence.
Keren Hayesod - United Israel Appeal is and Jewish International agency
that gathers funds throughout the world
with the exception of the USA to sustain the State of Israel
The has been active since the the First Global Zionist Congress was
held in 1920. This foundation operates in 45 nations, in every continent, via
57 campaigns called "The Keren Hayesod Act"
that the Knesset promoted intiated and promoted in 1956.

Friends of Israel organized an event with the Jewish community of Milan near the
Guastella Gardens in front of the synagogue from 10:00am - 6:00pm.
Hebrew music and dance was provided for participants, with booths displaying typical Israeli
products, books and information about various organizations. EDIPI sent their Milan representative, David Marazzita to participate in this
event.
